About the teacher
I am a certified Choral and General Music Teacher with the state of Wisconsin certifications #511 Choral and #515 general music. Currently I have 32 years of piano playing under my fingers and 18 of which have been professional. As a vocalist I have experience of singing for 21 years and have been a professional for 12 years. It has been a pleasure to teach in the classroom, to teach private lessons, and to serve as a professional accompanist for several area schools and also professional singersensembles. Besides this I play viola and make jewelry as a hobby.

Education relevant to teaching music
I have a Bachelor's degree of Arts in Music Education from The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Beyond this I've played piano for 32 years, and I've been singing and playing viola for 21 years. My most beloved teachers in Music, during my career thus far, were Judit Jaimes, Dr.Sharon Hansen, and Dr. Valerie Errante all from The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Teaching philosophy and approach to teaching
My approach to private music lesson instruction is and always has been a ‘lead by example’ kind of approach. I do allow for students to find the answers themselves and encourage independent skill practice, but I also give them professional examples of what I am looking for in their learning. I will sing andor play the piano for them, demonstrating my techniques firsthand.
