I have been playing the piano since I was a child and I've loved every minute of it. As an active recitalist I know what goes into taking a piece from the practice room to the stage - or your living room for a private performance - and I am here to guide you through the process of giving your best performance. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, you are most welcome in my studio where we can work on creating some beautiful music together!

Playing the piano can be a rewarding life-long passion, whether pursued professionally or purely on the amateur level. My goal is to help my students reach their maximum potential in artistry and musicianship, with lesson plans tailored to their individual needs and goals.
The pleasure of playing an instrument comes with the ability to play it well and easily, and although few students will continue on to conservatory, my teaching aims for that level. Focus is placed from the very beginning on proper posture, the introduction of various finger and arm techniques, developing good sight-reading, music analysis and interpretation, audition and recital preparation, playing in ensembles, basic proficiency in music theory and history.
Throughout the course of study, students are involved in a number of performance opportunities - recitals, festivals, competitions - where they can share their progress and take pride in their work.
