I have been playing music for around 16 years. I was classically trained on piano from 7 years old. I have a strong background in music theory which let me easily transition into playing and understanding guitar when I was about 14 years old. I make sure every student gets tailored lessons and that they enjoy what they are playing. It makes practicing way more fun and you get to learn about music at the same time! I love listening and playing many different kinds of music. I particularly like jazz, instrumental, fusion, and rock music. I look forward to playing music with you and exploring what you are interested in learning about!
I do not offer studio lessons.

I serve the Richardson & Plano area, traveling to homes. This makes it much easier for parents who don't have the time to get their child to lessons but still wants them to learn about music! If you have a question about where I teach, don't hesitate to reach out!
I do not offer online lessons.
I believe learning should be a fun experience. If learning is not fun, most people are likely to not stick with their instrument. I encourage a blending of learning music theory and reading standard notation along with more fun and easy to read songs in order create a healthy balance of learning and fun. However, I meet the student where they are at and try to make sure they are getting exactly what they want out of each lesson.
Most lessons will consist of a lesson book, a “fun” or two picked by the student, scale work, and theory. As mentioned above though, I try to make sure the student is getting what they want, and as a result I have some students who only do theory and book work and others who only play “fun” songs. This is a discussion we have early on in order to make sure you (or your child) get everything you want out of a lesson.
